I grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
I’ve also lived in Canada (Hamilton, London, Toronto), France (Paris), and England (Leeds, Durham). I’ve been to the Opera in Venice. I’ve ridden a camel in Tunisia. I’ve been kicked out of Macedonia.
My best friends are teachers and librarians; my husband is a geophysicist.
I have a PhD in philosophy, and have also studied copy editing, music, English literature, and linguistics.
I am a mom.
I believe that time does not pass. I am a big fan of the Oxford comma. I love the music of Elliott Smith.
I have a number of hobbies including reading and writing, playing the guitar and mandolin, and knitting and crocheting. I would like to learn the banjo.
